The DB11 marked the start of a new era for Aston Martin, bringing turbocharging, a completely redesigned chassis, and Mercedes-influenced interior design to an Aston Martin lineup that would soon grow to four full-production models. The Aston Martin DB11 straddles the border between sports vehicle and grand tourer. Whether equipped with a fixed roof or a retractable soft top, its long, low, and wide body draws attention. This rear-drive-only Aston Martin comes with a massive 630-hp twin-turbo V-12, but it's only available in coupe form, comes at a hefty premium, and can overwhelm the back tyres.
Every DB11 has a comfortable interior that can be customised with imaginative colours and exotic materials. We've noticed minor inconsistencies in panel fitment and switchgear that feels fairly cheap. Nonetheless, these flaws pale in comparison to the generally lavish and adrenaline-pumping experience of driving this vehicle. 
 Swoop inside via the swan-hinged door (which lifts slightly to avoid kerbs) and you're met first by the fragrance of costly leather, rather than wow-factor tech or groundbreaking interior design. This isn't a negative thing at all. Leather upholstery, heated and power-adjustable front seats, and passive entry are standard on all models. The front seats are ventilated and the steering wheel is heated.
