The Lamborghini Aventador is stunning in every way, with its
wild-looking exterior and dramatic performance. It's also the
last of a dying breed, with hybrid technology certain to improve
future V-12 supercar models. Still, with neck-snapping
acceleration and a lunatic exhaust noise, this wedge-shaped,
scissor-doored Lambo blasts into the sunset.
The Aventador will accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds.
The Aventador's powertrain hierarchy starts with a 6.5-liter
naturally aspirated V-12 engine that produces 730 horsepower
and is sent to the wheels via a seven-speed automated-manual
transmission.
Driving the Lamborghini Aventador isn't very daunting. The
interior's switches and buttons are reasonably well-organized,
and the central touchscreen infotainment system and digital
driver's display are comparable to those found in a high-end
Audi.
Every Aventador is equipped with a set of scissor doors that
open upward, as is customary for Lamborghini. In comparison
to modern supercar rivals, the low-slung cabin is showing its
age, but it can be customised with a range of luxury materials
and customizable options.
