 Ghost Sam and Molly are a very happy couple and truly in love. One night, while walking back to their new apartment, they encounter a thief in a dark alley, and Sam is murdered. He finds himself to be trapped as a ghost and realises that his death was no accident. He finds himself to be trapped as a ghost and realises that his death was no accident. Molly is visited by Carl (Sam's friend) who asks her to come for a short walk. Meanwhile, after following Willy (murderer) Sam comes across Oda Mae Brown, a con artist who used to pretend as a paranormal expert.
Oda Mae is persuaded by Sam to convince Molly and warn her about future dangers. Meanwhile, Sam discovers that Carl was involved in some money laundering schemes and the attack on Sam was planned by Carl to acquire some money out of him. Oda Mae tries to talk to Molly but Molly is convinced by Carl that she is a fraud. Later on, Sam and Oda Mae try to get into Molly's apartment but she refuses to let her in and breaks down in grief. She finally learns the truth and allows Oda Mae inside, astonished. Sam can possess Oda Mae's body, allowing him and Molly to dance one more time. Carl arrives, prepared to murder Molly and Oda Mae, but they manage to flee. Carl dies after fighting with Sam's ghost. Sam goes to Oda Mae and Molly to ask about their well-being, Molly becomes aware that she can hear him. After thanking Oda Mae for everything she has done to help him, Sam bids an emotional farewell to Molly and goes to the afterlife.
