Shaniwarwada Fort, Pune Shaniwarwada is a historical place in Pune city of Maharashtra. The fort is popular for its complex structure and carvings. But this fortress is haunted by a ghost who cries out for help. According to legend, Narayan Rao Peshwa, the young prince, was tragically stabbed to death by a masked person claiming to be a courtier. The cries of the Peshwa asking for help, "Kaka Mala Vachva" which means; Uncle, save me!; can be heard every full moon night to this day.
Writer’s Building, Kolkata The Writer's Building may be one of Kolkata's landmarks and one of the most famous buildings in India, but that hasn't stopped it from being one of the most haunted places in India. Locals believe the ghost of a British man named Captain Simpson still haunts the building from when he was murdered here decades ago. Many have claimed to hear footsteps and noises at night.
