Interview with the one and only - Divya Handa Khera
Divya Handa Khera is a screenwriter, lyricist and social media influencer. She has collaborated with over 20 brands. She also assisted award-winning writer-director Suman Ganguli for his Hindi feature film 'Blue Mountains'. Apart from working on original screenplays, she began writing advertisement campaigns that have wreaked havoc on social media.

1 Back in 2013 when you started your Instagram did you plan to become an influencer?
With the onset of the digital age, many unexpected things have happened in the past, and being on Instagram was done only as
a social media presence and the age of influencers hadn’t dawned on us in India yet! I had no idea where this was headed.
2 What has your struggle been like over the years managing your family and working together?
Managing family and work had always been a task for us women, as we deem families more important than anything else, so it’s not been easy would be an understatement. But I guess if you have your family’s support and truly believe what you’re doing is going in the right direction, then I guess things automatically fall in place, somehow !
3 What is the one message that you would like to share with your followers?
Believe in what you do, don’t let anything stop you from what you choose to do with your life!
4 If you could choose between overnight fame and a slowly built career, what would be your choice?
Like I mentioned, it’s the age of the Internet, so overnight fame is not an unexpected thing, but to sustain that becomes a task, as the change is sudden. But since my career has taken its journey slowly, it’s given me time to think about and manage other things as well.
5.What inspires you to continue your education and what else is in plan for you?
Life is a constant teacher and with technological inventions going through the roof, it’s important to keep evolving and learning. I don’t have any plans per se, but if luck would have it, I see myself as a successful filmmaker-writer down the line.
